Spider Woman Pending

I have found FOUR baby spiders on me in less than twenty four hours! After the first one I also discovered I’d been bitten so it’s fairly possible I may become spider woman over the next few days. The other three were on my arms and in my hair much to Husband Face’s horror. I googled what it meant and it could be A. I’m about to become rich, B. I’m about to become really creative/transform, C. I’m highly in tune to the universe or C. I am serving as a spider landing spot (most likely). Still hoping for spider woman though.
Currently reading Sunrise on The Reaping (no spoilers don’t worry), I’d been waiting for it to come out in paperback but it still hasn’t so ended up with hardback, wongk! I love paperback. Hardbacks look great on bookshelves but I’m a spine bender, I like a book that looks well read and loved. It’s so good already, I love Haymitch.
Summer is fast approaching (as well as second borns birthday) so naturally I have decided that we need to redecorate. When I say we what I really mean is I have been looking at new sofas online, buying supplies and deciding whether I can get away with painting most of the house pink and orange? Haven’t even checked the deadline for ordering new uniforms so I’m guessing I’ve missed that, doesn’t help that the kids break up like two weeks apart from each other which means I’ve got three separate sets of dates to keep track of (good luck babe).
One of our little humans knocked a tooth clean out over the weekend! No tears just facts. “Mum my tooth’s come out” followed by “there’s blood” and finally “I’m gonna get money from the tooth fairy”. Later deciphered what had actually transpired, jumped onto a zip wire (my favourite!), missed, landed on feet, seat swung straight into mouth and goodbye tooth! Poor babe. Unfortunately, I had to then deal with one of the worst receptionists ever who repeatedly spoke to me like an idiot whilst I politely asked questions ( I know, asking advice from the emergency dental helpline, how very dare I!) and kept saying things like “well I don’t know, I can’t see them can I?” Or “Well I’m not a clinician so I’m just telling you what I’d do”. I mean that’s what we all want when in an emergency situation isn’t it? The receptionist repeatedly telling us what they would do…No shade to receptionists, just the ones that are complete ARSEHOLES.
Went to sports day today. Still find the egg and spoon race ridiculous/hilarious, unlucky for our kids they got my lack of coordination skills. Who even invented the egg and spoon race? Where is that going to come in handy in real life? I reckon if you’re an adult carrying your eggs back and forth on spoons, you might be doing it wrong? But I suppose you don’t randomly throw bean bags in hoops either, so what do I know? I love the parents’ race, my favourite type of parent is the one that pretends they had no intention of taking part then proceeds to sprint like they’re at the olympics before casually strolling back all smug. But we all know it’s as Kevin McCallister says: ‘for the kids’.
Alas, nonsense.
