Overzealous Attempts

Should be cleaning alas I am writing. Treat yo self!
I started my new writing class last week, same teacher new class. So excited to get back into it. I’ve decided this is the year I’m going to start writing my book. I read a quote that said “writing and tearing up five pages would leave me no further behind than if I took the day off” so that’s nice advice, isn’t it? I’m going to take it.
Missing being on holiday with no responsibilities, well less responsibilities. I am like a sponge on holiday, soaking up all the moments to take back home with me at the end. I suddenly get motivated at the end of holiday too like I’ve stored all the energy ready to do something amazing when I get home, unfortunately that energy is usually expended by unpacking the suitcases then I’m done. I went shopping yesterday, note to self: don’t try on jeans when you are due on your period. My size, my length, my style, easy! Nope. They were in fact a size up from what I was actually wearing and they were too small. Guess it’s summer trousers and ridiculously ripped jeans all year.
I recently finished my seventh book of the year. What?! I am a slow reader so seven books is a lot for me. My favourite so far has to be Sunrise on the Reaping, couldn’t put it down, absolutely loved it! Can’t wait for the film.
Did anyone else notice that flamingos were a thing this year? Literally everything had flamingos on like even things that had no place including flamingos. Honestly the overzealous attempts to make things a thing makes me kinda hate the thing. I mean who sits in these meetings and says ‘hear me out, sardines! I really think sardines in a tin are making a comeback. We can put them on T-shirts, bags, pyjamas. I’m telling you the public fucking love a tin of sardines and they want everyone to know it!’. Also like croissants on make up bags? Or just a stick of butter? What is happening? I used to love mermaids then suddenly they were everywhere and lost their appeal completely. I think I am immune to being influenced.
Alas, nonsense.
